Mindy Hunziger - My name is Mindy Hunziger and my small town roots didn’t keep my dreams from being big. Having my dream become a reality has given me a true sense of accomplishment and I can proudly say I now have 14 years experience in the salon industry. I believe individuals can learn something new every day, and that by sharpening my skills through workshops and hands-on styling, I have enhanced my experience as a professional hair stylist. Attending hair shows and business classes continue to help me improve my ever-expanding horizons. I am blessed to have a dedicated staff of motivated and hard-working stylists who share in my experience. My number one priority is to make each client feel confident and special through the services we provide. I am positive that with our superior client-stylist communication, we can achieve your ultimate goal.
Audrey Bonham - Graduated St. Joseph Beauty University in 1990. I have worked in salons in St. Joseph and Savannah and recently landed at Guys and Dolls in Maryville and I just love it here! The beauty industry is rewarding to me because I enjoy helping people feel better about themselves whether it’s a new cut, color, manicure or advice on hair care products. The staff here is great! We work together for the clients and have fun doing it.
Julie Best - In August of 2012 I joined the Guys and Dolls team as the front end coordinator and have enjoyed every day since! The staff at Guys and Dolls welcomed me with open arms and has quickly become my second family. My primary tasks are scheduling and greeting clients which if fun because I love people! But, the best part of the job is seeing happy people leave the studio feeling great about their appearance.
Megan Clements - In 2009 I started as the receptionist in the salon which has led me to want to attend cosmetology school this fall. Working in this salon is a great experience, I enjoy everyone I work with.
Kathy Armentrout - I have done hair for 32 years. I attended Southwest Iowa Cosmetology College in 1978. I have enjoyed all of the changes in hair styling it has been a very good experience for me. I knew when I was very young that I wanted to be a hair stylist watching my Aunt as a beautician and my Uncle as a barber. There has been a great deal of improvement in technology and techniques that makes it much more individualized. Each person enjoys specific things and I enjoy hair cutting, color, high lights, and perms! We not only change peoples look but hopefully change there out look about their life and make them feel better about themselves. Anytime you can do that for someone else it is the greatest reward of all. Now I am employed at guys & Dolls Hair Studio and we work as a team and help each other where ever we can. That is what makes a place successful and a good atmosphere to be in.
Jason Barbosa - I attended St. Joseph University of Cosmetology in 1956. I also received an advanced instruction in Kansas City. I also received an instructor license in 1962. I worked in a salon for several years in
St. Joseph and then purchased it. I left the hair scene for 12 years in 1971 to pursue music with the Barbosa Band. That journey took me throughout the United States. I returned to doing hair in Maryville, Mo in 1985. Owning and managing salons along the way. At the present time I am working at Guys & Dolls Hair Studio. Having survived many years in the field of hairstyling with all the efforts and opportunities it takes to do the best you can do , there are things I always try to keep in mind. First of all I’m grateful to so many talented people who helped me and encouraged me along the way. Also my past and present clientele for their loyalty, kindness and prayer. At the present time it is a rewarding feeling to work with talented stylists who care and are spiritually motivated.
